Analyzing materials in objects around me (pt. 2)

• The blades of scissors are made of stainless steel, which is a BCC crystalline structure. Stainless steel is also used in in conditions where there might be direct contact to oxygen and moisture since it has a much lower chance of rusting compared to normal steel. 

• The handle of the scissors is made of a type of polymer called ABS, which is used for several other household products. It is also heavily used in the 3D printing industry It has an amorphous crystalline structure like most other polymers.
